Let.It.Go: A Self Love Workshop

During the workshop, we will explore the shadow side of us – those limiting beliefs, thoughts and habits we’re aware of, but find oh! so very hard to shift. Why is it difficult for us to let go, forgive (ourselves!) and move forward, at last?

Workshop facilitators Céline Harleaux and Sarah Beale are absolutely thrilled to host this second self-love workshop! They will create a safe space for us as we explore past hurts, mistakes, or losses, as we check in with ourselves and learn to love all parts of us unconditionally.

DETAILS OF THE WORKSHOP:
We’ll spend three hours together. Here's what you can expect:
- A Sharing Circle – for us to exchange, listen and heal;
- A powerful ThetaHealing® Meditation and energy clearing;
- Quiet Reflection & Altar Ceremony;
- Gentle Yin Yoga.

There will, of course, be time for a break. We will provide a selection of vegan, homemade sweets, and herbal teas. You are of course welcome to bring something to share with the group.

WHAT TO BRING
Most of all, come with an open heart! You may also want to bring a notebook and a pen, as well as a snack or a dessert to share.

In order to maintain the integrity of this event, space is limited! Please register to book your spot: hello@wellnesssanctuary.co.nz. We wouldn't wait!

Many women long for their men to share yoga with them. And many men long to find ways to connect into their soft side, yet it seems hard to open to it in a society that conditions us into stereotypes. This open to female/male couples as much as female/female and male/male couples.

Nicholas Heke-Worrall is a reiki and sound healer, massage therapist and passionate yogi. It was a journey of becoming whole. He has experienced the traditional male stereotyped life through several years as a builder in the army. Like so many he used alcohol and drugs as ways to cope with his emotions until he found balance and joy through yoga and the holistic healing arts. Today he helps others to find their power.

Sophia Christine is a teacher of yoga, mindfulness and transformation. She found health and joy beyond anything she thought possible on her yoga journey. She is passionate about applying the ancient tools of yoga to create balance in our modern lives. The magic of intimate relationships has always fascinated her, two people who help each other to be the best version of themselves. She loves sharing the tools that help us to stay in the state of magic that brought us together in the first place.

RESONANCE:
Resonance is the operating principles that sound healing rests on. The two essential aspects of resonance are;
1. Like attracts like.
2. The strongest pure vibration in any given environment will bring all other vibrations into uniformity with it.

With this in mind, the Pure vibrations created by crystal singing pyramids and bowls target specific areas or energy centers (chakras) in the human body. A:3rd Eye B:crown C:Root D:sacral E:Solar Plexus F:Heart G:Throat. By allowing our Body, mind and soul the time and space it needs to conciously relax, we allow these energy centers to open and clear out Dis-ease and old energy and allow new more vibrant energy into our lives, which in turn creates more positive experiences.

Any restrictions to the natural flow of vibrancy and life force will change the specific pure tone in a way that is similar to holding down a guitar string. It can be forced to play a different note, but energy must be used to hold down that note. The energy from crystal bowls and pyramids acts as a resonant guide back to wholeness for energy that has lost its natural state and pure tone through mental, physical illness or limitation. Excessive energy is toned down and deficient energy is made full. Once in balance, the system can re-establish that resonance as its baseline of health.

ABOUT NICHOLAS:
Nicholas is a 35 years young Hawkes bay local who has a strong passion to help others discover who they truly are.

He calls himself a healing artist because he believes the modalities he uses come together like an artist paints a picture not with one stroke of a brush but with many.

Nicholas is a sound healer, traditional usui reiki practitioner, crystal energy healer, massage therapist and intuitive tarot reader. He has spaces in Hastings and Napier where he works from and also will travel to you if need be. He also loves chanting, Kirtan, ecstatic dance, yoga and chilling at the beach.

RESONANCE:
Resonance is the operating principles that sound healing rests on. The two essential aspects of resonance are;
1. Like attracts like.
2. The strongest pure vibration in any given environment will bring all other vibrations into uniformity with it.

When a c string on a piano is struck, all other octave strings of c on the piano that were not struck begin to vibrate and come into what is known as sympathetic resonance. In the human body, the twelve levels of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual being resonate within specific pure frequencies of vibration when healthy.

Any restrictions to the natural flow of vibrancy and life force will change the specific pure tone in a way that is similar to holding down a guitar string. It can be forced to play a different note, but energy must be used to hold down that note. Vocal Nectar: Embodied Sound- Hawkes Bay

Welcome to VOCAL NECTAR,

An evening of SOUND to connect more deeply to our bodies intelligence to use the voice as a tool to move energy and open to deeper expression and bliss.

This will be a sound journey where we have the opportunity to experience different modalities... breath work, embodied movement and vocal toning to open the space to sound our pain, pleasure and return to our POWER.

This is different to a yoga asana or dance class in that we won't be following a direct sequence but instead trusting in a more intuitive way to move and sing... our own unique expression of self.

AHHHH what happens when we let go!? What is on the other side... SPACE.

"Why are you so determined to keep your wild silently inside of you? Let it breathe. Give it a voice. Let it roll out of you on the wide open waves. Set it free" Jeanette Le Blanke.

The NECTAR experience:

- Kawa Kawa tea ceremony and sharing
- Womb meditation and toning- deep primal and heart tones
- Using the voice for emotional release
- Somatic movement, sounding with the body as we move and express to different musical beats and rhythms
- Opening the space to let our own, unique soul song express

-Finishing with us joining together in song and receiving a vocal soundscape from me- Rebecca Bee.

ABOUT ME- BEE:

"Rebecca is passionate about vocal performance and expression as a healing practise and a way to liberate and free the body and mind. She has a background in studying various movement arts, from dance to yoga. Based in New Zealand, she has performed through dance and song at various festivals and is excited to bring her passion for vocals (particularly orgasmic sounding and toning from the womb) to the performance work and immersion"
Sigourney Belle- Wild Grace collaboration

From a recent workshop...

"Thank you so much for your words. Last night was a true blessing. I felt myself restored to wholeness. Love this work so much! Thirsty to do more. I just could not get close enough to the speakers / sound! In your voice I heard the mother I missed - powerful yet loving. It made me feel that the souls who become your children are SO lucky". Tibetan Singing Bowls session with Chrystal Soundhealing

Chrystal is back this January! Blissful healing sounds with Chrystal Nathal. In this session you will spend 1 hour in Shavasana (full resting pose) absorbing the sound and healing vibrations of the Tibetan Singing Bowls.

What to bring: Comfortable warm clothing (layers), water bottle, your own props to be comfortable, extra cozy blanket if you wish.

Cost: $20 prepayment is required to secure your spot by bank transfer to The Wellness Sanctuary | 12-3144-0257538-00 | REF: YR NAME. Please email to book: hello@wellnesssanctuary.co.nz

About Chrystal:

Gifted from birth with a healing connection to the Divine realms, Chrystal was born in Holland but now lives her life abroad, guided by intuition and traveling the world to meet new people and explore different cultures and countries. The “healing touch” runs in her family, and as a child she encountered Angels.

At a young age, Chrystal came to realize that life is incomplete without mediation and silent contemplation, which strengthen our connection to the creative source of the universe and move us toward the realization of ultimate compassion and love. At the age of 20, Chrystal was invited to join a shamanic sound healing circle, where she was introduced to the Tibetan bowls. Following a series of prophetic dreams, a friend presented her with two master bowls made especially for her by a lama in Tibet. This gift provided the catalyst for a life-long love affair with Tibetan bowls, which has evolved into her healing practice and training workshops for practitioners of this ancient sound healing tradition.

(At the age of 25, Chrystal discovered a book on the subject of Inner Yoga, which is among the world’s oldest and most challenging spiritual traditions. It is a path to know one’s true self through a commitment to always speak the truth. While embracing this spiritual journey, she also completed a seven-year chakra healing program, at the white lodge by Ronald Beasley. Upon finishing in 2000, Chrystal set forth from The Netherlands and, after releasing all of her personal possessions with the exception of her Tibetan bowls, she allowed Spirit to lead her to India, where she spent years in meditation and prayer. During this period, Chrystal lived in a monastery near the Dalai Lama’s residence in northern India. She also spent time at the UNESCO-supported Auroville intentional community in southern India.)

Chrystal came to in Bali in 2012, and since that time she has been working with individuals, couples, and groups. She currently offers sound healing sessions with Tibetan singing bowls and instructor training on how to play Tibetan bowls (Levels 1 and 2)

At the moment Chrystal is traveling between Australia and New Zealand

Sound healing private sessions available:

The Himalayan (Tibetan) singing bowls come from different areas in the Himalayan mountain range, such as Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal. Although their exact age is not known, many of them have been dated back hundreds of years.

Made out of consecrated 7 metals. These metals correspond to the energies of to the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus, prayers and mantras were chanted to them during the process of their creation. So, these bowls have the sacred energy of the prayers embodied in them. Additionally, the Tibetan bowls were made with the intention of healing, mind body and soul and transforming consciousness.

During the sound healing session, the Tibetan bowls are gently placed on the body, Chrystal can hear by the sound of the bowl where you need extra caring. She has a bowl in the frequencies of each chakra including your earth star and higher self chakra, to balance your connection to your higher self and Mother Earth.

Sometimes clients experience messages from the divine realms / higher self, to bring more clarity to their life purpose.

Chakras are energy vortices originating in the ancient Indian system of healing. Most literature discusses seven main chakras but there are literally hundreds of vortices of energy all over the body.

Chakras are the connection between the spiritual aspect of our being and the physical. There is an endocrine gland associated with 7 of the main chakras:

Root chakra
Sacral chakra
Solar Plexus chakra
Heart chakra
Throat chakra
Third Eye chakra
Crown chakra
In the Indian system of healing, when a physical dysfunction is in place, one or more chakras are considered to be blocked, dysfunctional or imbalanced. Imbalanced chakras are reflected in a whole range of mental, emotional and physiological dysfunctions.

Chakra balancing is used to correct the chakra so that the endocrine gland and all the associated structures and organs effected by that gland balance and begin to function correctly. Historically, chakra balancing has been done in a number of ways but it has been most effectively done by someone who has the capability to either feel and/or see the chakras and their state of imbalance. They then use energy healing techniques to adjust and balance them.

Tibetan Singing Bowls naturally cause chakras to self correct. The sound waves, in the form of sine waves run correcting frequencies to the unbalanced chakras, bringing them back to normal functioning.

The overall balancing effect of the Tibetan Singing Bowls, enhance and support the corrective rebalance on each chakra. The result is balanced chakras which then in turn enhance cellular and systemic healing throughout the body that is facilitated by the theta rhythms.

Sound healing is like giving water to the garden. When our body is healthy, it resonates in a frequency of 64Mh. The sound of the bowls is between 200 ~ 500 Mh.

Weak and sick cells in the body cannot stay in such high frequency; therefore sound healing is also used for detoxing and support illness treatments.

The Ralston Method workshops with Nikki & Amber J

to 19 Jan

The Ralston Method workshops with Nikki & Amber J

RETURN TO THE SOURCE
Friday 6-8.30pm

A decadent 2.5hr practice that dances between yang and yin elements, co- created and taught by Nikki Ralston and Amber Jane.

A unique experience delving into the source of what inspires, motivates and moves you through dynamic asana exploration with Nikki then seamlessly merging into a yin discovery returning to the source of what nourishes your soul with Amber.

DEMYSTIFY THE HEART
Saturday 9-11.30am

Matters of the heart can be complex so to can ‘heart openers’ aka backbends in our practice. Often through misunderstanding they become completely avoided or poorly executed. In this workshop, we will discover how to work towards health and longevity for the spine through extension versus compression. We will demystify the anatomy of back bends and learn how to create support and feel more space and less struggle. Practicing basic backbends like upward facing dog and upward facing bow directs our pathway toward more advanced heart openers. Expect to open and strengthen your upper back, shoulders, side body, and thoracic and lumbar spine. Backbends are one of the most beautiful expressions of an open heart and mind within the yoga practice. Come along and feel the freedom!

PSOAS RELEASE PARTY
Saturday 1-3.30pm

A different kinda party one where we drop deep into a somatic experience and reconnect with your life force. Part theory before we work through an embodied asana practice to release stored tension in this deepest muscle of the human body. Our fast paced modern lifestyle (which runs on the adrenaline of our sympathetic nervous system) chronically triggers and tightens the psoas – making it literally ready to run or fight. The psoas helps you to spring into action – or curl you up into a protective ball.... The psoas is far more than a core stabilising muscle; it is an organ of perception composed of bio-intelligent tissue and “literally embodies our deepest urge for survival, and more profoundly, our elemental desire to flourish.”

Investment

One session $70

Two sessions $130

All three $180

Limited spaces. For bookings and any questions email Amber: amberjane.yogavibes@gmail.com

Hare Christmas Kirtan
Dec
21
6:00 PM18:00

Hare Christmas Kirtan

Christmas is on our doorstep - the best time to drop from the busy mind down into the Heart and let your soul express through singing.

No previous experience necessary, no singing abilities required, as we will sing not to perform, but to experience the profound effects that Kirtan, YOGA OF SOUND, can bring:
- Inner peace
- Meditative states of absorbtion
- Happiness and joy, springing from within
- Opening of the heart with feelings of love and compassion
- Connection with the Divine and other kirtan participants
- On occasion, goose bumps and tears as the heart jumps with joy :)

WHAT IS KIRTAN?
Based on ancient chants, Kirtan has the ability to quiet the mind and bring us into the Heart, a space of no-thought and beyond reason. Everyone experiences kirtan differently, and it doesn’t have to be a religious experience. You can think of it as a sing-along. The wallah (leader) sings the mantra, and the audience sings it back or together with them. A single chant can go on for up to ten or twenty minutes. As you sing with each other you experience a deep connection with the musicians, the other audience members and yourself. And when the music stops, your mind is quiet.
Because kirtan has roots in India, many of the songs are sung in Sanskrit. If you’ve ever chanted responses in Latin or Hebrew in your religious tradition, then you know how powerful singing in an ancient, holy language can be. You can be completely immersed in the sound, with no words to distract the mind. The magic of the chants can then carry you within.
Kirtan is non-denominational, the Universal language of Spirit, the song of the Soul.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Literally everyone, as the practice of kirtan doesn't require a specific belief system or lifestyle, everybody's welcome - any age, culture, gender
This is an OPEN community event!

WHAT SHALL I BRING ALONG?
If you play an instrument, feel free to join the music - please just come 15 mins earlier to tune-in :)

And a special treat to make that special Chrismas feel even more authentic - a cup of spiced CHAI prepared with Aroha ♥

CONTRIBUTION: KOHA
We believe in the incredible value of this practice and still want to make it accessible for all. Bringing yourselves is the most important part - and feel on the spot what contribution this gathering has been for you. Suggested Koha is $10, but please pay what you can afford.

Sonic Tonic Sound-bath with Yee Ley Lau

Sonic Tonic Sound-bath with Yee Ley Lau

Lay down and bathed in sound-scapes lovingly crafted to nourish your entire being.

***************
Entry: $20
Booking essential: please confirm your attendance and book with Sarah hello@wellnesssanctuary.co.nz
Payment to be made to the Wellness Sanctuary: 12-3144-0257538-00
What contribution can this session be to you?
*************
Yee Ley collaborates with many beings of light and uses her voice and an array of specially selected instruments to create a sound-scape bringing through energies that are relevant for the group in that moment. She brings a symphony of possibilities for all beings who are present and ready to receive.

*What happens in a session?*
Participants are usually laying down fully clothed on a mat and supported with comfortable cushions and head-rests and wrapped up in a blanket in the cooler months. Participants can also be seated if that is more comfortable for the person.

The session opens with a guided meditation to create synergy of the groups energies. Then the sound-scapes will be created according to the group dynamics. This is more than an auditory experience - it is like receiving a massage with sound.

*How will I feel during a sound-bath?*
Everyone is different and so will have a their own unique experience. The most common sensations people report is that they feel more relaxed, and that they feel lighter during and after a session and that they were able to release the 'monkey-mind' they have not been able to do when they meditate on their own.

I have had people report that they were able to release deep emotions with ease and for some, relieve some aches and pains they had been experiencing prior to coming to the session.

I recommend that people have an intention for the sound-bath, even if that is to enjoy the sounds. Most people use it as a way to meditate.

I never know how it is going to show up for people in a session, but I always intend that I be a contribution to each an every person in the group.

*How long is the session?*
The sound bath session lasts for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 mins (including guided meditation into and out of the session). So it is important that you are comfortable for the duration of the session.

*What to bring:*
- Mats and blankets
- Bring any other cushions for support if you wish - you want to be as comfortable as possible

*What are the instruments you use?*
Currently I use:
Quartz Crystal singing bowls
Alchemy singing bowls
Tibetan bowls
Reverie Harp
Quartz crystal pyramids
Koshi Chimes
Native indian style flute
Hand drum

*Benefits*
Deep relaxation
Reduced levels of stress
Increased sense of calmness and tranquility
Sense of energy body alignment & balancing
Integration of energy changes
Sense of light being encoded into the bodies
Shifting & releasing energies
Awakening & remembering more of oneself
Ease with body changes
Ability to access one's inner knowings with ease
and more
